Cadence’s preference is to make direct investments following our own in-depth commercial and credit risk assessment. We perform our own due diligence and seek ongoing involvement and management of the investment exposure through the full life cycle of the investment through to exit.

Cadence prioritises two key direct investment strategies:

Private Real Estate Debt

  • Investment across First Mortgage and Mezzanine debt instruments
  • Typically attached to commercial real estate or residential development opportunities
  • Flexible and tailored structures to suit each opportunity
  • Typical investment size: A$2.0m to A$10.0m

Venture Investments

  • Series A / B round funding once the business has established commercialisation
  • Preference for technology orientated investments in Media or FinTech
  • Typical investment size: A$1.0m to A$2.0m
